“Guests come for rest and leave with a new rhythm — one that feels closer to the land and to themselves.”

Our story

Born from the rhythms of local life

Oasis began with a simple idea: travel can be gentler, slower, and more rooted in the everyday life of the people who live here. Instead of rushing from sight to sight, we wanted guests to feel the early-morning stillness in the olive groves, the long conversations over food, and the quiet glow of the sea at dusk.

Today, we collaborate with growers, cooks, artisans and guides to host small groups in a way that feels like being welcomed into a circle — not just checking into a stay.

1

The seed

A question about pace

What would travel feel like if we designed it around slowness, care and true connection — rather than schedules and checklists?

2

The roots

Listening to the land

We spent seasons listening: to farmers, villagers, cooks and healers, shaping experiences around their stories and seasonal rhythms.

3

Today

Hosting with intention

Each gathering is small, curated and grounded in place. We favour quality over quantity and depth over spectacle.

Our ethos

Gentle travel, real connection

We design each stay as a conversation between land, people and guests. These four principles keep us anchored — in every workshop, meal and walk we host.

Think of Oasis as a bridge: between visitors and locals, between fast-paced lives and slower, more grounded ways of being.

Sustainability

Low-impact activities, local sourcing, and responsible operations to protect the island we love.

Authenticity

Every experience is co-created with Cretan hosts, artisans, and growers — nothing generic.

Community

We connect guests and locals through shared meals, workshops, and slow adventures.

Wellbeing

Mindful practices and nature-first design to help you reconnect with yourself.

A day with us

What your stay might feel like

No two days look exactly the same, but they all share the same ingredients: time, seasonality, and space to simply be.

Arrive slowly

Morning

Wake up to soft light, birds, and the smell of mountain herbs. Gentle grounding, slow breakfast, introductions to the day’s rhythm.

Hands in the land

Daytime

Herb walks, olive rituals, cooking, tastings, or swims — always in small groups, moving at the pace of conversation and curiosity.

Gather & integrate

Evening

Shared meals, reflection, simple rituals. Space to rest, write, or just sit under the sky before another unhurried day.
